Wheel thrown, functional,
yet elegant decorative forms, with lively patterns showing
through brilliant glazes describes her work. Many pieces
are altered into oval or squared shapes while still
'leather hard', creating visual movement. In addition
to this dance, much of the work has incising, slip trail,
or stamped add-one, which create focal points. The clay
is durable, thermally retentive, high-fired stoneware,
which is oven, microwave, dishwasher, and food safe. |
