Josh Letourneau: Freestyle Hand-Blown Glass
Joshua has been working with glass for close to six years. He first became interested in the craft when he saw his first lamp-working demonstration, while attending college in Gunnison, CO. The following year he moved back East to snowboard in the mountains of VT. He then met Robert Burch and began apprenticing with off-hand glass blowing. Six years later, Josh has enjoyed teaching at Snow Farm Crafts institute, Great River Arts and privately in his own lamp-working studio in Westminster, Vt. In the fall of 2006 Josh had the good fortune to find an affordable property in Southern VT, where he plans to build a studio for lessons and retail space. When asked about his passion for the art Josh responds, "as much as I enjoy producing glass I equally enjoy the reaction of someone who has never experienced it." He hopes to build a studio apartment above the shop where out of state students will be able to stay. They will have access to kayaking, hiking and mtn. biking. " I would be honored to share my knowledge and enthusiasm for the trade for all who are interested".
