I’ve been working with glass for close to eight years. I first became interested in the craft while attending college in Gunnison, CO. The following year I moved back East to snowboard in the mountains of VT. I met Robert Burch and began apprenticing with off-hand glass blowing. Eight years later, I’ve enjoyed teaching at Snow Farm Crafts Institute, Great River Arts and privately in my own lamp-working studio in Westminster, VT. In the fall of 2006 I had the good fortune to find an affordable property in southern VT, where I plan to build a studio for lessons and retail space, as well as a studio apartment where out-of-state students will be able to stay. They will have access to kayaking, hiking and mountain biking. When asked about my passion for the art, my response is, "as much as I enjoy producing glass I equally enjoy the reaction of someone who has never experienced it. I would be honored to share my knowledge and enthusiasm for the trade with all who are interested.
