The question I am asked most often is whether my work is painted. It is actually made by layering different-colored polymer clay (an acrylic modeling clay) into three-dimensional designs called "canes". I slice cross-sections of these canes revealing the intricate design within. These are hardened through heating in an oven and then incorporated into jewelry with niobium and sterling silver wire. All niobium and surgical steel ear wires are completely hypo-allergenic.

I have been working with polymer clay since 1988. I have an extensive background in painting, drawing and sculpture which endows my work with it's clean color, precise design and dynamic balance and movement.

Making affordable art that one can wear and enjoy on a daily basis is important to me. Creating a design that I find beautiful in the challenging medium of polymer clay and discovering exciting ways to assemble it into jewelry is tremendously satisfying.

My jewelry and art have been selected for exhibition at galleries throughout the country, State Craft Centers in New England and numerous craft shows on the east coast.
