A new body of work, Predators and Pray, informs this year's changes in my studio.
Inspired by social and environmental justice, these new paintings juxtapose the tumult of the 19th c. with contemporary American culture.
FLOORCLOTHS, PET MATS AND MURALS
Floor cloths are generally a commissioned piece of art for your home. I work with you to choose color, style and size to create a floor covering that will bring many years of delight and durability to your home.
New floor cloths and pet placemats designs are inspired by endangered species and environmental restoration.
COLLAGE PAINTINGS
The series, Predators and Pray began in 2022 with the loss of an artist and dear friend, who, terrified of the vaccine, succumbed to Covid. The series continues to evolve, as I come to new understandings of the cultural structure of patriarchy and the capricious ambiguity of who is a predator and who is prey grows more obscure within this system.

WORKSHOPS
If you are interested in creating your own floor cloth, I facilitate workshops in my studio twice a year so that you can learn some basic techniques and end the day with a 2’ x 3’ floor cloth.
These are great fun! Organize your own group or join a workshop and meet new friends. Anyone can paint a floor cloth, you will be delighted by what you can create!
